About Us

The origin of Coastside Comics began months before I, Romy, the owner, ever dreamt of having my own business. I’ve been selling comic books from my own collection at flea markets. After doing this for several months, I’ve began to get tired from driving from flea market to flea market. Out of necessity and with our second child on the way, I’ve decided that I wanted to open a store selling comics. I opened Coastside Comics in May 1st of 1985 in the Pacific Manor neighborhood of Pacifica, California. This May marks the 25th year of being in business. Without the help of my two daughters, Sharon and Heather, this website would not be available today, and success of being in this business for this long period of time would not be possible, if not for our loyal customers, who supported us over the years.
